About Me

Hi, my name is Julie and I've been in business since moving to Peaks Island Maine in 1988• I have walked boarded, fostered and rescued hundreds of dogs over the years. I moved to San Francisco where I started my business back up. In 2011 I sold my dog walking business in San Francisco to become a full time photographer. During the pandemic I lost most of my photo work and started taking care of dogs again. I even opened up a dog rescue and rescued 57 dogs in the first year during COVID. This summer I moved back to Peaks Island Maine and am resuming my dog walking and boarding business. A few facts about me...

•You'll rarely find me without a dog
• I've never been bitten by a dog. There's always a first.
• I love to photograph dogs & will take a ridiculous amount of pictures of your dog while staying or walking with me.
• I understand dog behavior maybe better than human behavior after years of dog walking and studying.
• I love seeing dogs frolic on the beach, in a dog park, on a trail or happy in my home. It truly makes me happy.
• I believe in positive reinforcement when working and playing with dogs.
• I love the soft, downy fur just behind the ears of a dog.
• The dogs I care for become family to me and so do their owners.
• I had a dog, Otis for 15 years that was very loved.  He is gone now and lives on in my memory, in my heart and in endless amounts of photos. Now I have Arrow & Willa who I love just as much and share just as many photos.
• I've been taking care dogs for over 30 years. I started young :)
• Your dogs will get exercised, lots of love and affection in my care.
